Better in the sense that all Halo media is under one roof now and should minimize further inconsistencies. No, they likely can't go back and rectify everything but if the plan is for Halo to continue another 5-7 years at least, there's a better opportunity to keep things more consistent. In my line of work (software QA for Casino games) we will often have to accept things that are technically incorrect but that have precedent either amongst our own library of titles or in the field. It is more important to be consistent than to always be correct. It seems counter-intuitive but it presents a more homogeneous experience for the player, and if that's more important to them, that's what we do.
