: Exhibit A: the cruiser Pillar of Autumn (Halo 1 vs. Reach) : Another that's internal to Bungie: Exhibit B: the city of New Mombasa (Halo 2
Of what particular significance to the story are the design details of the Autumn or the specific geography of New Mombasa? Does Halo mean something different if these details are changed or just plain wrong? These are cool things to catalog and pore over, but ultimately don't affect the big picture. People are alleging that in tone, content, meaning and interpretation, Reach is not just a bad story but ruined a better one that came before. I'm pointing out that most of the things Reach "ruined" weren't things Bungie made anyway, or weren't relevant to the tone, content, meaning or interpretation of Halo.
