: To me, the biggest killer of a fictional universe is internal inconsistency. : It's also the part of it I care about the most. Maybe I'm rather unique in : that view. I think the lack of engaging stories is the biggest killer. Sometimes consistency gets in the way of making an engaging story (See the reason for Noble team to be doing what they are doing). If so, I'll take inconsistencies.
