The simple fact is that if Lucas had set out from the beginning with the intent of Vader being Luke's father, he could still have written this line exactly as it was. He might well have done so as a fakeout. When you need information from outside the text to secure the intentionality of the line, it's not a retcon. If there was a flashback to this scene in Empire and Obi-Wan said something different, that'd be a retcon.
