In my experience, there are several Bob spawns on most maps. They will spawn in the same place for an individual playthrough. (If you revert to last checkpoint he should spawn in the same spot, but if you end the game and start again it's most likely to be a different spot.) Some are more aggressive than others. Wipe them out...
