I encountered more of those than I did invisible walls, but they were far more annoying. I guess some of those spots are good for ducking into if you need a breather.
I actually also agree completely on Bungie's presentation of their plot in the Halo series. You can tell there's a compelling world/universe, and clearly you're neck deep in the crap throughout the majority of the game (and series), but much is lost in the way you just jump from action-to-action without sufficient explanation. I guess as a Spartan super soldier you're not meant to QUESTION events, you're just there to fuck shit up... but as a player going through a story there's much to be desired.
