: so, now knowing what we do, I can only assume that Thom KNEW he wasn't going : to make. : this leads to the one thing about the trailer that really bothers me, that : being that when he threw the nuke, he turned and ran. I just didn't like : it. it struck me as very un-Spartan like. I would have expected him to : stay and lay into them, taking out as many as he could before the thing : blew. Without spoiling the game of Reach, how do we know that is Thom? Or is that just simply speculation? Also, if it's just speculation, then how do we know if that Spartan died? Perhaps he ran, and actually made it out of the ship? If he didn't survive, did he think he had a chance he could survive by running? If he knew he was going to die, I think it would've been more emotional if he threw it, and stood watch. It seemed too sudden of a situation to have time to go down and fight. If he stood watch, I would then know (moreso, anyways) that he did sacrifice himself. Since he ran, I can't tell, I can only speculate.
