Sorry. I concede that the visuals were quite awesome. But it doesn't seem to fit anywhere into canon. ONI having a super-prowler with active camo? Spartan's riding kickass space attack fighters that boast the firepower of a frigate? Said kickass space attack fighters having shields? New, madeup Spartans randomly dying for no apparent reason? Covenant ships deploying a new gimmicky "ejection" mechanism that could have easily thwarted previous player controlled events in the games and fiction? An Elite that is heavily implied to be Thel Vadum having the lowly rank of major when he would have seemed to be a shipmaster? Another question in that rising inquisitive tone of voice? Artistic license is great up to a point, but when the consistency of the story is on unstable ground for the sake of looking cool, the overall quality of the work is degraded. I'm only talking about The Package though. I absolutely loved Origins Part I, and I happily await Part II. I also enjoyed most of the other entries. It's just that this one in particular seemed to far "out there".
