I've been playing Fable II lately. It has autosaves, and allows only one save per gamer. It is very annoying, for the reasons you have outlined. Fable I let you keep up to five distinct saves, which was very handy if you were trying out different options or approaches. -Nate (thinks that on the whole, the designers probably don't want us to be able to do this experimentation, but he sure enjoys doing it)
