In Response To: Needs to be QUIT WITHOUT SAVING, not QUIT (Rockslider) you're complicating things. The current LAST button in the Start Menu list is "SAVE and QUIT"
There's a reason you don't throw the word 'save' in the last option, even if it's being used in the negative. Because people will get confused. Simple and to the point is always the driving force. Even for some of us that want literal explanations, for most folks context come into play and having such buttons next to each other will become an issue. And no, we can't move those button apart from each other, because now they'll intermingle w/ the other buttons and be a different kind of confusing. David knows his UI design, and he's probably also beholden to some set of Xbox UI guidelines. This is going off into a tangent, but if you're interested in this kind of stuff, you should check out the Apple Human Interface Guidelines, it's considering a benchmark on human interface design and specifically talks about this kind of stuff. Based on decades of research, it has stood the test of time. Of course, the frustrating thing is how even Apple doesn't always follow their own UI guidelines. :) - M
