: Heh - this is VERY old, and things changed quite a bit. (All connections : between Marathon's Jjaro and Halo's Forerunner were stripped; Halo and : Marathon were explicitly separated by Bungie. The conversation Forrest is : referring to (where Jason told people what the plot was) happened in 1999, : at Bungie West (the San Jose offices of the team building Oni). If you've : forgotten what Halo looked like in 1999, go watch The Evolution of Halo . : It tells us almost nothing about whether (in the current storyline) the : Forerunner and Humans are related or not. Right, I'm not saying it says anything about the current storyline - I think I made that fairly explicit, I hope - but it's just an interesting bit of fictional archaeology.
