(Frankie) ***SPOILARZ FOR TEH BABYSITTAR EPISODE!!!!1 DO NOT READ IF YOU HAZ NOT SEEN IT YET*** Let me begin by saying: Thank you, Frankie, and all people at 343 and Studio 4C who were involved with making this happen. That episode was really cool. Now, that said, I have a couple of things that I am very confused about. On page 288 of The Fall of Reach, we are told the following: "The sound receivers in their armor could pick up a whisper at a hundred meters." And yet, Cal-141 had a Jiralhanae infantry unit saunter up to within (what looked like) 15 meters of her position, close enough to pull off what he did, and yet she failed to be aware of this until he was in the middle of his move. What the fail? Was this cool scenario just not possible to portray without compromising on the abilities of a MJOLNIR-clad SPARTAN-II? Or was this overlooked? Or was this justified? Or what? I love me the SPARTAN-II's, but if Cal-141's equipment was properly functioning, then she brought the fail in a way that I have a hard time believing any SPARTAN-II could. The second thing that I am very confused about is, how in the HECK is that Jiralhanae still alive? I saw the impact that Cal-141's blows had on that thing. His brain, if it is indeed (presumably) located in his head, should be a greyish-pink jelly with white bits floating around inside (coloration also presumptuous). And even if it wasn't, he should either be comatose, paralyzed, unconscious for a long time (read: days or weeks), or SOMETHING. You just don't get up after being backhanded and kicked in the head by a SPARTAN-II in MJOLNIR. If you could please help me to understand what had happened, my aching brain would be very grateful. It hurt just LOOKING at that thing get hit.
