: Maybe not ALL people.

: I just don't like how there is so little exposition in the games.
: I loved Halo 2 because of the cutscenes and dialogue.
: We couldn't have that in Halo 1 because we were on Halo, so no one knew
: anything, but in Halo 2 and 3, we could have gotten more of a story, and
: more characters fleshed out in cinematics, but due to the casualization of
: Halo 3, we lost the Arbiter side of the story, which in my opinion were
: the best parts of Halo 2, due to them being entirely based around the
: Covenant beliefs and ways.

: Halo 3 was just "SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT WE HAVE MORE SHOOTING TO DO, OH NO
: TRUTH ON A BIG SCREEN, MAN WHY COULDN'T THEY JUST SHOOT THAT AA CANNON? OH
: HEY A PORTAL"

: It was just really simple.

: Too simple.

I agree. The story was dumbed down to mediocrity, with the only real dip in profundity being the "You are Forerunner" line that we all knew was coming and that I feel was really only put in to give the long term fans something to chew on.

This is of course not including the disjoint story told through the terminals.
