I should probably have kept the underside view included. I'd be inclined to think they are either air-to-ground missiles or bombs by their shape. Attacking ground targets would also seem a greater priority over New Mombasa than air-to-air. As for the pod in the centre, the 'lens' area does somewhat resemble the Spartan laser, and with the optics package being under the nose on the main fuselage, I'm so far leaning towards it being a beefed up version of that (which would certainly give it a very mean punch), but who knows at this point.
