Every time you hit a checkpoint, your save data is written to disk. When you quit, you really aren't saving anything at that point, you're just quitting. The Words "Save and Quit" are simply there to assure people that their last checkpoint will not be lost when they leave. Are you asking for an option that essentially wipes out any checkpoints that were written since you started playing that session? If so, that's just plain silly.
