: I heard an interview with Sigourney Weaver once that did a great job : explaining the use of the female heroine, Ripley, in the Alien saga. The : idea was that the Alien was so powerful and terrifying that the physical : difference between men and women meant exactly nothing. In the end, it was : Ripley's resourcefulness, courage, and luck that were her keys to : survival. Thanks for pointing that out... it reminds me of the death of the Witch King in LOTR, for all you geeks out there. :) 'No man can kill me! Oh, you're a chick. How inconvienent... BLARGH!'
