Those flat-edged fingernails just : don't seem to be something that a woman portrayed by a U.S. media producer : would have... If you're an elite special forces operative who gets dropped out of orbit to do close-up, dirty combat with hostile forces, you're not going to have nicely manicured hands. Frankly, I doubt anyone's going to get anywhere looking at them for gender. Until we see a face or hear a voice (or, though I doubt it'll ever happen, hear a real name) the Rookie's gender is going to be an unknown. But really, does it matter?
