In Response To: I'm thinking no . . . (Jillybean) : Playing another species went down badly, playing as a woman would undoubtedly : be suicide. I have to say that I agree. As someone who feels immersion is so critical to my own enjoyment of the FPS genre, this could certainly put a damper on my ODST gaming. Heck, I don't even like playing games where the main character has visible arm tattoos. Thankfully, the ODST tattoo will be covered by armor so I can pretend that my character decided not to get one. ;) Anyway, I suspect Bungie understands the importance of a silent hero far more than I, which is why I think they'll go one step further than the Chief and they won't allow the character to be distinguished as male OR female.
