I was going to point out that global warming has caused the glaciers at the top of the mountain to shrink significantly, but the ice can apparently get pretty thick on the northern face. It also depends on when the picture was taken, since ice levels have changed dramatically in recent times.
I think a better clue might be the foreground. As seen in Sierra 117, the area around the base of the mountain is full of thick jungle. But the vegetation rapidly thins out as you move closer to the peak, turning into a barren moonscape near the summit. Judging from the subject's apparent proximity to the peak, I'd say there are way too many trees around for that to be Kilimanjaro.
