Mendicant has been kicking around for : 100,000 years and he still has enough sense to recognize his mistake and : help the Chief correct it. Remember the sentinels in the last 4 levels? : Sent by MB. I suppose, but what was he doing in that long span of time before the events of Halo 1? Maybe he stabilized himself to prevent going rampant, and since nothing was going on he didn't have to manage too much information.
