For the longest time I was convinced Rampancy didn't exist in the Halo universe. There wasn't any real mention of it until Contact Harvest and Halo 3. But even now with Rampancy undeniably being a part of Halo I'm still not convinced that Halo AIs go through the same phases that Marathon universe AIs did. For instance: Mack and Sif were clearly Rampant by the end of Contact Harvest. Did they go through Melancholia, Anger, and Jealousy?
