Cortana- A Stable Rampant AI?

I've been thinking a lot about rampancy in the Halo universe lately, and it occured to me that Cortana me be in the theoretical fourth stage of rampancy- metastability.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the books say that:

1. Human AI constructs have a life expectancy of seven years?

2. After this they go rampant?

Assuming these two points are correction, consider that Forward Unto Dawn's rear half, containing the Chief and Cortana, may be drifting for hundreds or thousands of years. In this period Cortana WOULD go rampant, possibly killing the Chief in the process.

Her lonliness and exposure to a Flood Gravemind's effects would surely have induced rampancy. Take into account the amount of information she downloaded from Halo's networks. It seems extremely likely that Cortana is rampant. The first chapter title in the Cortana level in Halo 3 is rampant- likely a hint as to her status.

By all accounts, Cortana has gone rampant. But, her sadness, anger, jealously, normally given a chance to brood, are cut short when the Chief returns to rescue her- she regains her faith in humanity. A friend returns to her. Her rampancy is stopped. She becomes a stable AI, now with no real life expectancy.

I've missed stuff out, but I'm sure if you guys take into account all the evidence, hopefully you'll agree it looks like Cortana has achieved the mythical fourth state of rampancy.
