Today, every montage is self centered around the person who created it - there is no attempt to tell a a sort of story that would make it memorable. It's a shame that nobody has sat down and thought about how to make a good montage. Every montage is the same, just slaps a bunch of clips together, then put in a shit load of effects that aren't needed; then open up a MP3 folder and find the first song they like. Every time I watch a montage, I cringe at how shitty the music is - and how it doesn't fit, and how it detracts from the gameplay, or the point of the movie. Sometimes you just can't use rap, or soft rock, or whatever the hell anybody uses in their montage. Sometimes - all it takes is a simple theme, or a beat to get something to work. People need to start trying something new, something that isn't self centered around how good they are. And for god sakes stop using crap like multitage or sticktage or retardtage.
