: I think everyone has overlooked a very important detail. If the war ended : when the chief actiated the ring, why didn't he die? When the slipspace : portal closed around the Dawn, he was left behind when the ring fired. : Except he wasn't killed. So if the ring is supposed to destroy sentient : life and the chief lived, then I think it's pretty safe to assume that : something went wrong, which means that the flood are still there... any : thoughts? He's not at the ark in the post-credits cutscene, he was in slipspace when the Halo was activated He wasn't within real space, which protects him, I believe So no, I don't think it is safe to assume that something went wrong
