: The Flood Combat forms couldn't have been much more powerful than a Covenant : fleet, as the Onyx Sentinels are prone to destroying handily. How is this relevant? Covenant tech is misused Forerunner tech, the two are not comparable. The terminals quite clearly show the Flood penetrating planetary defense fleets by using smaller vessels as ablative armor. All they had to do was land on a planet's surface. : Well if you've got a Forerunner planet of 200 billion and a sentinel : deployment of 300 billion, even if the Flood infected the entire : population, the Sentinels would still come out on top. Why? We've already shown that even though the Forerunner had the tech to produce large numbers of Sentinels, they still lost. There's obviously some form of mitigating factor here; for all their apparent numbers, they still lost to the Flood.
