: You can't prove a negative, but I can provide a theory or two based on the : available evidence: either they didn't have the tech to produce the : factories in time to make a difference, or they had it but the Sentinels : were ineffective. Both fit with the results of the Forerunner losing the : war while having these factories. Or because if the Forerunners won the war there'd be no Halo franchise. Though I DO like the idea of a game in which you fight an evil empire bent on domination with it's infinite army of robot sentinels. : So, we're back to "because I say so." Same thing you're saying.
