Its entirely : possible that the fleet had Sentinels. Of course it is, but apparently they didn't deploy billions to each planet because if they did they would have won the war. : You spoke as if having military personnel on the planet was indicative of : them employing meaties as opposed to Sentinels. I'm simply pointing out : that all military forces on an assaulted world, meaty or non, would be : employed in combat, so whether there were military personnel on the world : or not is irrelevent to the notion that they were or weren't deploying : mechnical forces to support their troops. Because of the mention of combat skins, which is the Forerunner body armor. The deployment of organisms against the Flood is inherently dangerous because of the risk of infection. However, billions of replacable robots deployed against the Flood not only provides fearsome firepower, but they are also immune to infection.
