: I can see your point but I get the feeling my mind isn't able to comprehend : the enormity of it all, so I *think* it's possible for sentinels to over : power and win, but it may just not work out in the end. The biggest : problem is one of surprise... both in that the flood had started infecting : before the forerunners knew what was going on, and that the forerunners : had disassembled all their weaponry and combat capabilities. In short, : they were caught with their pants down. They fought for decades and could : not stop it, and thus they had to (it sounds silly to say this) think out : of the box. : - M How long can suprise last? The war lasted 300 years, the suprise must've worn off by the end of at least the 5th year. I'm saying that the Forerunners wouldn't have last the war if they'd just done what I've outlined: Mass produce huge numbers of sentinels. Instead after 300 years they still hadn't learned that fighting zombies with brains wasn't a good idea.
