I still don't see any reason why ILB can't be cannon. All it needs is a little retconning to clean up the whole Yasmine/Durga mess. I've always figured she really was a rampant AI that developed an alternate personality and past after becoming obsessed with Jersey's father. Yasmine could have been kidnapped for another reason (illegal AI brain harvesting???). Who knows. But I say that ILB is totally worth saving. It'd be a shame to throw out such a marvelously crafted piece of the Halo universe simply because of a few misfits with the established timeline.
