: If the Halo's destroy anything bigger then spore-forms, then wouldn't the : spore forms left be able to simply re-animate the corpses left from the : firing? I'm still skeptical of how exactly the Halos kill. Is it some sort : of electromagnetic wave that disrupts biomass? Or some sort of super-sonic : noise? I just don't quite understand how it can kill everything "with : sufficient biomass to sustain the flood" without killing EVERYTHING, : spores included. And yes I realize this is an age-old question, but still : relavent. The rings destroy the cns which results in even dead things being incapable of function. It makes sense if you think about the rings say, for the sake of argument, vibrate at a frequency that destroys nerve endings. Then even dead things have lost the remnants of their CNS and are incapable of being infected by the spores.
