Things I noticed - spoilers

: This guy has a very interesting story about being taken into Bungie studios
: to record dialogue for Halo 3. He even has a transcript of some of the
: lines he read. Is this new?

Possible spoilers warning!

The naming of the resources suggests that these events happen early in the game.

Mission locations: Base, Outskirts (Elevator room, Warthog room, Destroyed convoy)

Base - seems as the Chief is in a UNSC base.

Outskirts - seems that the Chief is fleeing the base.

Outskirts areas:

Elevator room - A bombing run is mentioned. This could be a covenant bombing run attempting to destroy the base that the Chief is in, or it could be an UNSC bombing run. Likely covenant.

Warthog room - it appears as though a base, which included a fleet of Pelicans, was under attack and the Chief and some marines escaped through an elevator below ground, into a room full of Warthogs.

Destroyed convoy - Nothing concrete here. The chief could be on a Warthog taken from the Warthog room, or even in a Pelican, but driving a 'Hog seems the most likely. The name suggests he's perhaps driving through the wreckage of a UNSC convoy that has been destroyed. The dialogue suggests you are fighting wraiths and accompanied by Pelican air support.

The next page of dialogue also suggests that it happens after soon after the previous page of dialogue, and includes a lot of talking about Pelicans and flood. The amount of pilot dialogue might suggest we'll see some flying missions, and a new type of enemy ship (or even unidentified friendly ship) "Too big for a Banshee, too low for a Phantom".

Finally, the last line of dialogue suggests a crash landing.
