"Wander" sounds nothing like "have walked", and it seems even stranger since that bit comes in Whisper in the Storm, the first part of the poem to be uncovered. Besides, wander is present tense. "I wander the Earth"-I'm wandering on the Earth now. "I have walked the Earth"- past perfect, if I'm not mistaken-I've been there, but there's nothing to say that I'm doing that now. As a matter of fact, how would I wander the Earth if I were in a prison of some sort?
