: maybe i'm not hardcore enough to play a h3 beta; 25,000+ games isn't enough. Wait, what? "I don't like having to jump through hoops just to play a beta" - where the hell does this come from? What beta program have you ever been involved with where there weren't special requirements? Game companies (for the most part) don't just say 'hey, everyone, here's a free thing, go use it however you want' -a public beta is a way for them to gather information that's useful in the final release of the game. Don't you think it's reasonable that they aim for people who are willing to take an extra step or two in order to participate? If anyone could sign up, they'd have tons of people who never play - what sort of data would they get then? And there's nothing whatsoever that says the hours must be recorded on a 360 - if you're complaining about that, you're blaming Bungie for bad rumors, which is pretty unfair. |
