Nah, worked that one out for myself. I used to pick at them from the stairs but then tried the stealth approach to clear out the sides and noticed a 'window of opportunity'.

In TB, towards the bottom of the pyramid, I kill two Grunts, take their needler, pp blast then needle stick a Jackal, kill the 2 Elites then I reload and head back up to pick up the sniper and pistol.
The path pierces the spine of the pyramid and the tunnel walls are great for bouncing needles off of. If you get a nice shallow angle then they bounce from wall to wall repeatedly and criss cross each other. And further up there are lots of angled surfaces to bounce them off.
It passes the time and looks very pretty at night. :)
