In Response To: Re: what WAS the needler designed for..........? (scarab) : More of a single player weapon. I agree somewhat. I mean, I used to love Needlers in Halo: CE because of the effects they created when they exploded, and targeting for a central Grunt would usually take out the entire pack of enemies surrounding it. And in Halo 2, I don't think I could've done Gravemind on Legendary without it. But in multiplayer, primarily in FAE I suppose (Because I tend not to seek out a Needler) when people see you coming with one, or when you happen to spawn in front of an enemy while you're wielding one and have no choice but to use it, it can come in very handy. If you strafe while shooting and dodge opponents' gunfire, they will usually be so convinced that they can take you out before you can them, that they'll do very little to avoid it. It's psychological, but it tends to work. And, I've found defeating multiple enemies in a team-based game with Needlers usually invigorates them so that they begin to play poorly. Kind of like the Pink Crusades. :) -SR |
