Think about this: Mendez went off to train the next lot of Spartan-IIs, presumably because the Spartan project was a relative success. Wouldn't it be reasonable that more than 75 new candidates would be picked for the next lot as it would be considered a success, say.. 300? It seems all hope is lost on Earth as the Master Chief trys to fight off an entire invasion force of Covenant at the Ark, he is surrounded on all sides on a desert plateu by armies of blood-thirsty Brutes etc. when all of a sudden, a squadron of Pelicans (around 12) zoom into view at high speeds, Covenant ground-fire hailing all over them like fireworks, when they stop about 5 metres above John, and who exits them? 300 motherfucking Spartans, led by Kelly! The first wave of Jackals shit themselves and let the now-very angry Brutes rush in for some kills. BLAM! BLAM! the entire surrounding wave of Brutes are fall to the ground, dead. Here comes the next 10,000 of them...
