I realize this whole thread has probably gone on without thinking about this, but the Cortana lines you've quoted are from Silent Cartographer, referring to the Control Center. The Control Room appears to be a temple or shrine. The image you've linked is from Silent Cartographer, the map room. It is not a temple or shrine. So you aren't seeing this picture on the way out of a shrine; that image doesn't exist in AotCR or Two Betrayals. I don't think there's any reason to link that image with Halo's ultimate function or with the Control Room, unless you believe the map room's sole function is to locate the Control Room. However, when the map is activated, it seems there are several highlighted locations around the ring. While the Control Room may be the most important feature, it is certainly not the only one. | |
