It likely refers to the suborbital facility in the Threshold atomosphere, from which the mining facility/Flood lab was hanging. There may have either been other arc constructs in the atmosphere (likely) or other gas mine tethers hanging from the one we saw. If the Forerunner were mining gas from a planet many, many times larger than Earth and even Jupiter, I doubt they do all their gas collection from only one such station dangling from the arc construct. |
