In Response To: My Thoughts on the Halo Series (Gravemind) I've only read the Halo 2 multiplayer part so far, but here's what I think. "Terminal has a glitch where the train will sometimes appear from or dissapear into thin air." Thank you! My experiences on Terminal have sometimes gone like this: [Look to left... Look to right... No train. I guess it's safe to walk on the tracks. *SPLAT*] Terminal is one of my favorite maps and I like the train, but if they couldn't get it to work properly the train should have been left out. It's frustrating to see my corpse thrown across the map by an invisible monorail that doesn't make any noise. I'm glad to know that somebody else shares my pain. "Furthermore, it should be "smarter," being able to determine the optimum location to respawn a player, that way he/she won't be as likely to end up reappearing on top of a grenade, in the sights of an enemy, or otherwise in harm's way." Once again, I'm happy someone else thinks the same way I do. I really hope they find a way to stop us from spawning in direct view of a sniper. However, there are a number of things I disagree with. I disliked Halo 1's health system. I like having a fresh start with each new enemy encounter. Also, I really like the height of the jumps in Halo 2. I'm not sure how to describe why; it just feels right to me. I like the lack of fall damage in Halo 2 as well. Multiplayer doesn't have to be realistic, and it's just a lot more fun to drop to the ground from the top of a building. I prefer lifts to ladders, too. Otherwise, I pretty much agree with what I've read so far. Good job writing all that. |
