In the bottom-right panel of page 100, look on the wall just above the plasma grenade. What is that? Is it an in-joke? A Bungie reference? An easter egg? You can see this same logo in the shop signs of Turf, FYI. I'm trying to figure out what the name is (Polpalion's?), as well as the motto to the left, but I'm not having much luck...
Another interesting note: On page 121, you can see that the marine who dodges the sticky grenade is Pvt. Jenkins, according to his helmet. But Jenkins is only seen on Halo (he's one of the Marines first killed by the Flood). So is this scene taking place in a Forerunner structure? If so, then why is that weird logo there? Could it have anything to do with this figure?
Anybody have any ideas?
