50-enemy dustbowl megabattle in T&R

Looks like we've got a third megabattle on our hands, and in level 3 of all places! It takes place in the dustbowl area: the big area with a rocky bridge over a bowl-like depression. Amazingly you can have up to 50 enemies there, made up from the usuals plus enemies from earlier on. They'll all chase you around, which lets you lead them to good places to defend from, do a progressive defence on the move, or whatever. It's also great for chain reactions and general mayhem. Every enemy from earlier is a potential participant, even Shade gunners once you eject them. Getting them into the area relies on some behavioural changes that occur. Basically, when you trigger a checkpoint ahead of them, it frees them up to leave their old area and move on, given a bit of encouragement. Setting it up involves running past a lot of enemies. For this reason, getting near the maximum 50 is only a realistic possibility on Normal or Easy. You probably won't actually want that many though, as framerate slowdown would be quite noticeable, degrading the battle experience. To keep things fairly fluid, I'd say limit yourself to maybe 35 or so. As well as some intense battling, you can have some hilarious fun with up to 32 Grunts chasing around after you, surely the biggest gaggle in the game. You should see those critters swarm! If you want a megabattle that makes you laugh, this is it. Something else that makes me laugh is when I think of the countless times I've been through the level, and all the while this megabattle has been lurking there waiting to happen. Ack!
