If you read the halo books there is a place called "The Ark" in Africa, also where Mombissia is, and if you think about it, Bungie would create a story that enabled people to kind of figure it out as they go and contemplate it, but hit them up with a twist and have the whole story possibly ending right were it started. This being said, it also pushs the thought that maby the For Runners were actualy humans, witch would also make sence being now that half of the covent forces have joined the humans side leaving those still loyal to the profets with the chance of being compleatly wrong the entire time. If you think about it, it would also only make sence that Bungie would have a very exciting, strange, but inquisitive ending to a game coming after Halo 2 witch for many, left much to be desierd at the ending (Prusuming that "Halo 3" is made although it has not yet been anounced!)
