As he had theorised(sp?), only the Prophets and Humans made up the original Forerunner race. -Throuh genetic manipulation, Humanity lost their memories of the Halos, and the Flood, yet they retained the ability to "reclaim" the Index and reunite it with the core. Thus, they are known as "Reclaimers". -The Prophets lost the genetic coding to retrieve the Index, yet still remember everything. -This is to recreate the alliance between the two races after they remerge from the Ark on their respective homeworlds. The Prophets were unhappy with this, however, and created a story of a "Great Journey" to lure other races into believing the Forerunner were gods. -Their real motive was to destroy the Human race, because they felt that Humans shouldn't have the power to fire the Halos without the knowledge of what they do. Forgive me if I restated some points, I have a habit of doing that. | |
