New Melee Damage Chart for 1.1 | |

Well, since the first melee damage chart I made is now obsolete for most of us, I had to spend my afternoon figuring out everything again. Things are a lot more complicated this time around, but I kept the old stationary SMG melee as a value of one point on my chart anyway, because if you recall, 6 points is what it takes to kill someone with melees, and the overshield adds another 7. All my experimenting was done with overshields and damage resistance (which doubles the amount of damage you can take) to ensure accuracy as much as I could, and after a lot of experimenting and a little help from a calculator, here's the incredibly complicated-looking chart I came up with:

The main difference, obviously, is the more than 250% increase in base melee damage for all of the weaker weapons. Other big differences are that the rocket launcher and sentinel beam (plus bomb/oddball/flag) no longer kill with one jumping melee, and it now makes a difference whether you are running or jumping with the brute shot and energy sword. Hope people find this helpful. |
