Monday MS announce the new OS and office Suite XP brand, standing for experince. an investor article is here: (hold on to the MSFT stock boys and girls) http://www.ideaadvisor.com/company/article.asp?aid=8564 and Microsoft's article is here: http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2001/Feb01/02-05NamingPR.asp so what does this have to do with Halo your asking, well you all know that MS is producing Halo for the x-box, and given that it (microsoft) is under fire right now about the name x-box, see this article: http://news.ft.com/ft/gx.cgi/ftc?pagename=View&c=Article&cid=FT3Q4GWXSIC&live=true&useoverridetemplate=IXLZHNNP94C which is also listed on the front page of HBO yesterday (sorry louis) could this be a reflection and/or indicator of how MS will re-name the x-box if they decide not to buy Xbox Technologies and loose in court. think of it, new os, Windows XP, new office suite Microsoft Office XP, new Game Console = XP-Box, new game title, Halo XP just a thought on how a company decision can really effect the branding of an item. Pallor will be able to lend some input, since she is a marketing goddess, as to any complications a new name might bring forth. Better get Jaime working on new logo (hahahahaha) -tim
