That would suck. Like, as in, ridiculously.
What the hell is the point of setting up a race of aliens that are mysteriously angry at us if we're not supposed to find the truth behind their hatred through discoveries on the part of the humans?
What is the point of making a race that's out to destroy us if you're just going to humanize them and relate them to us? It was a bad plot device for the matrix, it'd be a bad plot deveice for Halo.
