In Response To: Quetion about covenant and 343 gs (Brandon) : what we have learned about the covenant is that all there technology is based : on the Forerunner, 343 gs and the sentianals : are part of Halo and it is mentioned that they are part of the Forerunners : technology, so if they are forerunner why were the covenant : trying to destroy them? i can't figure it out wouldn't the covenant like : serrender to them or join together Covenant steal everything and use it as their own. 343GS knows this and does not want them getting into Key areas on Halo. : P.S heres somthing to think about-the covenant's technology is based on the : Forerunner, that means they would have had to visit : other ring worlds like Halo, Bungie also mentioned that the flood had a : history with the covenant Heres my theory, in a nut shell the orignal Covies (prophets, few eleites) found, or met a Forruner who was probably fleeing the LAst big Flood outbreak many years ago. He either told or was interigated into telling about his technology and where to find all the empty ships. In the book THE FLOOD: One of the prophets mentioned someon called the Gift giver, or soemthing liek that. Im assuming this was one of the Forruners. What happened to this guy I have no Idea but b4 he died or left im sure he Warned the covenant about letting the next reclaimer setting off Halo's blast. So you can imagine why the convies call MC "DEVIL" and why "your destruction is the will of the gods" Lil theory, hope it sheds lite on your topic, but alas..........there really sint much fact to prove most of this, just bits and peices.
