Aotcr.... Useless grunts corpses ?

Yea, umm..I was just wondering ...Did anybody ever go down the well(the bottom)in the beginning of Aotcr ? Because I have...And I realized that there's three grunts dead together in the bottom floor, even though it's kinda hard to see down there coz' of all that blue mist crap. I just wanted to know..what the hell are those dead grunts doing down there? I got down using the initial Pelican (Co-op only). If anybody feels like answering ... go ahead, It's just some useless info anyways.
