In Response To: I'll give it a whirl, too (Socrates) I don't want to be annoying, but doesn't anyone else think the forerunners could've been scouts? Which would explain why they would use a black whole for talking back to their home world, yet they found the flood so they built their 'fortress' world to contain them. According to dicionary.com fortress is: A fortified place, especially a large, permanent military stronghold that often includes a town. Town eh? Probably a settlement of forerunner's much like coloninsts. So there are scattered colony's spread around the new galaxy they found and when the flood break out of one and eat or infest all the forerunner guilty spark gets the last one to fire halo sending the location of halo to their home world to send in a strike team of some sort, but accidentaly it goes away from the black hole so their home planet never found out about the flood and the memory of the colony slowly faded away. | |
