Not quite, but close.

Information was shot past a black hole, but could not escape. However, speed and velocity were such that it was not consumed by the black hole, but is trapped in permanent orbit around it. This trapped information has accelerated to nearly the speed of light. Cortana has contains something that matches this information to the information found (I believe on the mystery object) on Sigma Octanus IV. However, she is unable to crack the mystery of the information.
